Prof. Dr. Halit Yılmaz, Attorney At Law
In 1995 he graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Law. He got his LLM and PhD degree from Ankara University Institute of Social Sciences Department of Public (Administrative) Law.
In 2007 he started to work as an assistant professor at Akdeniz University Faculty of Law Department of Administrative Law. In the field of Administrative Law, he was awarded the title of associate professor in 2013 and full professor in 2019.
He is still working as a lecturer at Antalya Bilim University and the courses he teaches are administrative law, administrative jurisdiction law, public procurement law and zoning law. At the same time, he is practising as a lawyer registered with Antalya Bar Association.
In 2001 he received Tarık Zafer Tunaya Research Award from Aybay Foundation for Legal Studies and in 2008 Örsan Öymen Award from Milliyet Newspaper.
He has got many published books and articles. Some of the books written by Prof. Dr. Halit Yılmaz are: The Effect of the Annulment Decisions Given by the Constitutional Court over Time in Terms of Administrative Law (Ankara 2019); Hate Speech as an Issue of Freedom of Expression (Ankara 2015); The Restriction of the Access to Healthcare and the Judicial Review of the Restriction (Ankara 2011); The Problems Related to the Judicial Independence in Turkey (Ankara 2009); The Function of the Administration in Audio-visual Communication (Ankara 2006)
